About Me (README)

Ayman Taher is a Systems Engineer, graduated from the Faculty Of Engineering, Mansoura University. I am best known for my expertise in Linux & Unix Systems.

I enjoy excellent presentation skills, and like to put them to use training people on open-source technologies. This has reflected in a good way in my relationship with colleagues and work-mates in this community. I am the co-founder of the “CAT Reloaded” community (Computer Assistance Team), the reloaded version of the old computer assistance team in Mansoura University.

I love computer science, my passion for computers started when I joined the CAT Reloaded Team. This community really changed me a lot.

My objective was and still is working in a challenging position in the field of Information Technology, Unix and Linux administration, Services Deployment; where I can share my experience and increase my set of skills. That is why I am now in Aserver-Egypt after working in Thebe Technology.

I had previously worked as a Linux System Engineer at Gold Origin, an IBM-ATC partner. There I had implemented several solutions in the field of managing web traffic, and building load Balancing and traffic control gateway. Also, I worked as an official IBM trainer for Linux courses.

Later, I joined Linux-Plus Information Systems L.L.C as a Systems Engineer. I was responsible for Unix and Linux systems, network services installations and providing technical support and for many setups based on Redhat Enterprise Linux And Sun Solairs Unix. I also provided RedHat Enterprise Linux and Sun Microsystems Official Training to the company customers as a part of the company support packages. I deployed services and provided training for customers like “Vodafone-Egypt”, “Mobinil”, “Central Bank Of Egypt”, “Schlumberger”, “AUC” , “EMC” , “Orange” and “Ministry Of Defense”. I was also involved with Red Hat, Inc to implement several projects in the EMEA region, especially in Egypt, including “clustering Solutions” and “Directory services”.
